The Moon doesn't just sit there looking suspicious. It is implicated in the ocean's schedule. For an artificial-Moon theory, that's a tempting promotion: the object in the sky becomes infrastructure, a device with a job. But a job description isn't evidence of who hired it.
A control-system claim would need a timing or location pattern that its stated mechanism predicts better than gravitational models. A connection between the Moon and tides isn't, by itself, a signature of engineering.
The argument being tested—not a claim that the theory has been verified. The object with the planet-sized job.
The engineered-Moon story becomes more compelling when it proposes a function, not just an origin. Perhaps the object regulates something. The tides give that story a visible candidate. Now the hard part: describe how the control would work and what difference it would make to the observed pattern.
NASA's tidal explanation includes lunar and solar influence as well as local complications. That means a single beach at a single hour is a poor courtroom. Compare predictions against an appropriate local record, over time, without treating every messy detail as sabotage by an unseen machine.
This is a historical-pattern exercise, not a forecast for boating or coastal safety. If a proposed control model finds a repeatable discrepancy, keep the timestamps and compare it against other sites. A controller that merely imitates gravity has not yet supplied a reason to replace it.
The useful force is the difference.
NASA's tides guide describes changing ocean distribution under the Moon's and Sun's influence. The relevant effect is differential gravity across Earth, rather than a claim that the Moon simply lifts one patch of sea straight upward.
Local coastlines, ocean depth and continents complicate the resulting tides. A tide that does not fit a neat cartoon is not evidence that the lunar relationship disappears.
Do not grade a cartoon as a forecast.
Our suggested investigation compares a location's published tidal pattern with lunar phase across multiple weeks, noting weather and the local forecasting model. It is a pattern study, not a substitute for marine-navigation information.
One unusual day cannot settle the mechanism. The better question is whether a stated model predicts the repeated timing and range more successfully than a rival.
The lunar connection is real; the simplistic two-bulge cartoon does not predict every harbour's tide.
A TEST, NOT A DARE.
Use the same tide station over a complete phase cycle. Note the baseline, local exceptions and what the model actually predicts; do not use this exercise for safe-navigation decisions.
These are suggested exercises, not experiments we claim to have performed.
